Mountain Bike Safari was created in 2009 by Mike and Laura, the owners of SnowCrazy. The demand for the product has stemmed from SnowCrazy's ski holiday guests who elso enjoy the adrenaline rush of mountain biking in the French Alps. The idea of locating the base for MBS in La Rosiere originated from conversations with mountain bike enthusiasts who were becoming bored with Les Gets, the traditional centre for mountain biking within the French Alps. Mike and Laura have over 20 years experience between them in the hospitality sector of the travel and tourism industry, with Mike's background being in Logistics and Laura's background being in the top end restaurant industry in London. Mike and Laura themselves live in La Rosiere and know the area like the back of their hands!
Your host during your stay is Jason, Mike's son. In his mid-twenties, Jason has now spent 4 years in La Rosiere with SnowCrazy, our winter brand. Although a new comer to mountain biking, Jason has quickly taken to the saddle and his new found passion for mountain biking is right up there with his passion for skiing. More importantly, for our guests, Jason has extensive knowledge of the local area and how things work in La Rosiere and the neighbouring resorts. Jason will ensure that your booking process is smooth and your requirements are agreed and met in resort. Jason is also responsible for the Chalet Chef, who will take care of your catering requirements during your stay with Mountain Bike Safari.
Romain is our fully qualified local guide with extensive knowledge of all of the resorts on the MBS itinerary. He is in early 30's and has a serious passion for getting on his bike and hitting the local trails. Romain is an advanced rider and VTT instructor and you will find his technical skills, knowledge and ability of the highest standard available in France. He knows everybody and every trail! Romain is contracted to the local mountain bike equipment hire store in La Rosiere where he works on maintenance and repairs, he therefore has access to the best support available in the area. He speaks fluent English and like all the locals is a friendly guy, who loves his trade. |
